　　香格里拉三亚度假酒店位于中国海南岛三亚市海棠湾，是一个五星级度假开发项目。综合开发包括500多个会议设施，餐饮和水疗中心。市场定位为海南顶级的家庭度假胜地，同时拥有三层楼的娱乐区，为各个年龄段的人准备的设施都非常完善。为了容纳度假村的大量项目和活动，景观空间设计需具备高度灵活性和可根据需求调整的规模。

　　The Shangri-La Sanya Resort & Spa is a 5-star resort development located at Haitang Bay in Sanya on Hainan Island in China. The comprehensive development consists of more than 500 keys, MICE facilities, F&B and Spa. With the market positioning to be the top family resort in Hainan, it also features a three-storey entertainment zone with very comprehensive facilities across various ages. To be able to accommodate the plethora of programs and activities of the resort, both planned and ad-hoc, the landscape spaces need to be designed with a high degree of flexibility and range of scales to be able to transform as needed.

　　环境可持续性:

　　•保留现有的木麻黄森林

　　从设计过程一开始，将现有的木麻黄森林保留一半的想法，就是一个重要的决定。它将场地与海滩分隔开来。团队建议有选择地在树木间制造缝隙，以从主大厅、客房区和意大利特色餐厅处看见大海，而不是像通常那样尽可能地向大海开放。森林内的空间按灵活的户外活动场所进行划分，如聚会和私人用餐。这个设计决策十分严谨，因为木麻黄森林作为一个自然缓冲区，在酒店投入使用后对于保护场地免受台风的冲击是非常有效的。

　　Environmental Sustainability:

　　• Retaining The Existing Casuarina Forest

　　The idea to strategically retain half of the existing casuarina forest that separates the site from the beach was an important decision right from the beginning of the design process. Instead of the usual approach opening up as much as possible to the sea, the team recommended to selectively creating gaps between the trees, mainly viewed from the main lobby and the ocean-wing guestroom block that also houses the Italian specialty restaurant. Spaces within the forest were carved out as venues for flexible outdoor events such as parties and private dining. This proved to be a prudent design decision as the casuarina forest has been extremely effective as a natural buffer that protects the site from the onslaught of the typhoons after the property came into operation.

　　在保留海滨沿岸现有的木麻黄森林时，必须小心处理对木麻黄树林所在的沙堤。穿越沙堤通往海滩的道路设计与沙堤共存，不需要额外构造。马鞍藤沿着斜坡种植，用深深的根系把沙子固定住。

　　• Integrating the Existing Sand Berm

　　In retaining the existing casuarina forest along the beachfront, the intervention to the existing sand berms on which the casuarina trees sit on had to be handled with care. The opening of vistas and access to the beach across the existing berms was designed to work with the existing berms without the need for additional structures while the “Ipomoea pes-caprae (L.) R.Br.” was planting along the slopes to bind the sand with its deep tap-roots.

　　•利用本土种植作为景观框架和概念表达

　　当地植物品种具有更好的恢复力，且易于维护。景观框架标识出场地里面森林式的内部地块以及沿海的植被地块，创造出丰富的景观，同时确保植物具备长期生存能力，并易于维护。

　　• Use of Indigenous Planting as of Landscape Framework and Concept Expression

　　Local planting species were used for better resilience and ease of maintenance. The landscape framework of featuring a more forest-like palette inland of the site and coastal planting palette nearer the seaside, creates richness in the landscape as well as ensuring the long term survivability of the plants and ease of maintenance.

　　•“岩石”——建筑结构与景观的无缝融合

　　“岩脊”的概念核心是一个三层的娱乐建筑——“岩石”，这是一个郁郁葱葱的热带洞穴，里面有大大小小的瀑布，令人印象深刻。“岩石”的设计为设想其成为一个洞穴，里面有室内保龄球馆、健身房、特色餐饮、室内儿童游乐场以及一个户外的儿童游乐区，这个设计方案成功将三层大楼与景观完美融合，并将它转化为一个亮点，成为了大草坪的特色背景。

　　Economic Sustainability :

　　• “The Rock” - Seamless Integration of Architectural Structure within the Landscape
The centerpiece of the “Rock Spine” concept is a three storey entertainment building -“The Rock”- that has been designed as an impressive lush, tropical grotto with waterfalls and cascades. The idea of “The Rock”, envisioned as a cave, which houses an indoor bowling, gym, speciality dining, indoor kid’s adventure play and an extensive outdoor kid’s wet play zone, offered a design solution that successfully blended the massing of a three-storey building sitting in the middle of the entire development seamlessly into the landscape and transformed it into a visual highlight that worked well as a feature backdrop for the grand lawn.

　　这个景观概念的灵感来自于海南的沿海植被、热带雨林及附近大石头的自然特征。该设计概念形成了一个景观框架，在该框架中，酒店从森林景观变为海岸景观，特色岩石景观成为主要支柱——将两者联系在一起的“岩脊”。森林和海岸景观的交叉变化创造了充满趣味的对比。岩石景观创造了连接三维的机会，成为跌水、洞穴、瀑布和岩石池的亮点。

　　Concept : “The Rock” Spine

　　The landscape concept is inspired by Hainan’s natural features of the coastal planting, its tropical forest, large boulder rocks that can be found nearby the site. The design concept shaped into a landscape framework in which the property transforms from a forest landscape into a coastal landscape, with feature rockscape as the main spine - the “Rock Spine” that ties the two together. The variations and intersections of the forest and coastal landscape creates interesting contrasts and juxtapositions while the rockscapes give the opportunities for three-dimensional articulation that become highlights with water cascades, cave, waterfalls and rockpools.
